On July 15, 2024 Judge Ieshia Gray celebrated the grand opening of the Sauk Village Restorative Justice Community Court. Here are Judge Gray’s remarks after Chief Judge Timothy Evans appointed her as the presiding judge of the court:
“The launch of the Sauk Village Restorative Justice Community Court represents a pivotal moment in the south suburbs, that aims to reshape our justice system and uplift our communities,” Gray said. “I am honored to serve as the presiding judge and to participate in this significant endeavor envisioned by Chief Judge Timothy Evans. It’s an honor to contribute to work that promises to transform our communities.”
Dec. 17, 2023: Judge Gray’s family toy drive was a success. Thank you to all who helped to spread some holiday cheer with the wonderful Toy Give-Away. Tis’ the season.
Dec. 15, 2023: Every year, employees at the courthouse donate toys to a local elementary school. The employees are doing their part to spread some holiday cheer.

Nov. 21, 2023: Judge Gray was happy to support her friend and filmmaker Kameishia Wooten in her screening at the Chicago International Film Festival.
Oct. 28, 2023: Senator Warnock asked attendees at the Democratic Party of Illinois’ gala what will your letter to your children say? As a kid from Kankakee who moved to Chicago over 20 years ago, Judge Gray is inspired.
Judge Gray stopped by to support alderwoman Michelle Harris’ 54th Annual Dinner Dance. The theme for the night, “A Voteless People Is A Hopeless People.”
Oct. 15, 2023: Today Judge Gray and her family supported Domestic Violence Awareness Month at her home church, Park Manor Christian Church.
Sept. 27, 2023: Judge Gray is thankful to the Southland Saints for the honor of serving as the guest speaker of your annual gala.
Sept. 13, 2023: From the opening ceremony to the classroom, Judge Gray represented Cook County in a seminar for judges in Washington, D.C. on how law and economics intersect. Representation does matter.
